How one 5k run could change a life

  • 2 min read
Have you been thinking about doing something for charity but not sure where to start? Would you like your children to be involved in your charitable efforts but are unsure on what's appropriate for them? We think we might have the answer. #RBCRACEFORKIDS What is it? This 8th annual RBC Race for Kids is Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity's biggest mass participation event. On Saturday 7th October 8,000 people of all abilities will walk, run, scoot, jog or wheel their way around a 5k course in London's beautiful Hyde Park. Why is it important? Each participant of the event (whether they are completing the course as an individual or a team) is asked to raise fundraising money. All of the money will go to the GOSH charity foundation to support their work in transforming the lives of seriously ill children. When is it and how does it work? The race itself is a 5k family fun run in London's Hyde Park. Whether you scoot, run, walk or crawl you will able to take in the stunning views including the magnificent Serpentine and many other of Hyde's Park beautiful attractions. The race itself is a laid back affair and starts at 10am. After the race there are a huge range of family friendly activities to take part in including face painting, stalls, a climbing wall, a scooter track with goodies, bouncy castle and much more including live entertainment. How you can get involved Regular prices for adult registration to RBC Race for the Kids is £18, and for children over four years old, the price is £12.
