One recent beneficiary of the Scooter Aid scheme is Owl pre-school.

Here is what happened when they were gifted with some new scooters for enriching outdoor playing opportunities.

A little bit about Owl Pre-school 

Owl Pre School is in a recognised area of high deprivation and welcomes children aged 3-4 to their provision. They requested scooters to help improve the physical development of children in their care and contacted Micro Scooters in 2017 through the scooter aid nomination form.

When the scooters arrived 

The scooters have arrived today and there was great excitement amongst the staff and children, to say the very least!

The children thought Christmas had arrived early and as you can see from the attached photographs, they not only enjoyed the new scooters, but the packaging too! 

The difference the scooters have made

We cannot express how grateful we are and how much this will impact on the children’s physical development.

It will help us to work towards achieving their early learning goals where they show good control and co-ordination in their large and small movements.

It was amazing to see one child with hip dysplasia being able to freely use the scooters as he has not been able to access the cars.

Give children back their childhood – some children have very little in the way of toys we want to give them something that is theirs and they can enjoy using every single day.

Recycle items that might otherwise end up in landfill.

Scooter Aid has helped over 100 good causes across the UK over the past couple of years. You can donate old Micro Scooters to the scheme easily and anyone can nominate a charity to benefit from the Micro Scooters that we have revamped and are ready to be re-loved.
