ADVENTURE WITH MICRO
WHAT HAPPENED WHEN LIMITED EDITION SCOOTERS WERE DESIGNED FOR SCOOTERAID
For short journeys, the school run, to commute across the city; scooting benefits are endless but each entirely unique to its user. For only those who use scooters uncover just how much of a difference they can really make to the everyday.
Scooting adventures should be available to all
At Micro, we believe that just because your child has grown out of their scooter doesn’t mean that the adventures of said scooter should stop. We also found that a lot of our Micro Scooters had many more miles left in their wheels when little ones had moved onto the next size up.
Anna and Philippa realised that Micro could deliver scooting adventures to children who wouldn’t have experienced them otherwise and Scooter Aid was set up as a result, shortly after.
Our Scooter Aid scheme takes pre-loved, returned stock and ex-demo scooters and breathes new life into them by donating them to good causes up and down the UK.
Rare scooter redesigns available for a unique cause
To celebrate 5 years of Scooter Aid, in 2017 we asked two inspirational artists to help design some truly unique scooters.
We teamed up with the amazing @AndyCouncil and @birdcanfox to revamp 6 scooters and turn them into something special. They are extremely rare editions and only available to charities. The only 6 in the country they each have their very own unique and special hand-painted designs by these two amazingly talented London artists.

Scooter recipients; Young Bristol
Young Bristol has evolved into one of Bristol’s leading youth charities, providing critical out-of-school services for children and young people in communities across the city. Today they are recognised as Bristol’s leading provider of community-based youth services, through our community youth club network based in some of Bristol’s most challenging communities, and a valued provider of outdoor activities, creative arts, instructor training and informal educational programmes for young people.
We provide positive activities and safe places where young people can build confidence, skills, self-esteem whilst having fun and improving their pathway to employment.
When we found out about the incredible work of Young Bristol we couldn’t think of anyone better for our redesigned scooters to go to.
We’ve had a scooter delivery!
Micro Scooters UK have kindly donated these two amazing re-designed, revamped scooters as part of their Scooter Aid initiative. The scooters have had an extra-special paint job by artists Andy Council and Bird Can Fox and are unique pieces with their own stories.
As you can tell we are chuffed to bits with them, and so will the young people who the scooters will be making their way to.
