THE ROUTE
This scooting route starts at Mersea Island (the one and only) primary school on the island. On route you can stop off at the Two Sugars Café for a well earned coffee and cake while enjoying the lovely view of the sea.
Slightly further along the route there is a well-equipped playground you and the children can stop off at for a few minutes of fun.
The scooting route takes in the beach and an open green – both of which provide great places for a picnic.
Towards the end of the scooter route you can scoot past the fantastic candy coloured beach huts made famous by many artists and photographers. There is also another small cafe should you wish to double up on coffee and cake.
